Have you been over to PPF to visit with some incredibly talented artists and check out their work? The piece below fits in perfectly with their discussion regarding Halloween and
Dia de los Muertos.
YOU can see anything in a gourd if you really try. This is 'Bonita'. Originally a Chinese bottle gourd that lost her stem in shipping has human (my) hair that could be trimmed if you prefer a shorter look. It certainly won't grow any longer! She's hung around the studio for the last couple years in her box and only comes out for special occasions. I never thought there would be a market for her ... should I list her on ETSY? She's a fun piece and

Bonita is super creepy and perfect for Halloween and Dia de los Muertos decorating. She's also the first gourd I've seen with human hair. Happy PPF.
ReplyDeleteFun! Festive for Halloween and spooky! have fun! ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteOK, so that hair is officially creepy!!
ReplyDelete"CREEPY" does pretty much sum Bonita up. She hasn't been received well by family members either. Maybe that's why I keep her in her box! She's just perfect to take out at this time of year. Happy PPF and thanks for commenting on her ... I don't think she feels a thing, but I enjoy your thoughts! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the skelly. I think she should come out of her box and join the family.:)) She is cool. Happy PPF!

ReplyDeleteWell, if Bonita is ever going to find a loving home, it would be this week, much better than her chances around, say, Easter.
